Sarah ChakrawatiAs a Jakarta native who got her start in theatre while still in high school. Playing the “Madame” in Unda Hati Kudus’s production of a “wayang” tale, she went on to work in communications for footwear. When she’s not persuading companies to invest in shoes and sandals, she often spends her time singing along to Phantom of the Opera whilst in the shower, or perhaps belting Take a Bow by Madonna at your local karaoke bar. After being persuaded bya good friend of 14 years, Rizal Iwan, she decided to take the leap into musical theatre for the upcoming production of Broadway Ke Java where she landed the starring role of “Sandy” in the classic Grease. Although she might play a “goody-two-shoes” in our latest production, her ideal roles include that of a “wicked step-mother” in either Cinderella or Grease, or perhaps a temptress in the hit Miss Saigon.
