This is your chance to perform with us. And how about a few audition tips to get you prepared and ready?!
- Be Prepared
Prepare everything you need for the audition. Read and do a little bit of research about the play, triple-check the audition’s time and venue, and plan to arrive early. Arriving for an audition and being more prepared can minimize the chance of feeling surprised and nervous, it will boost your confidence and stay at ease when they call your number. - Warm Up
Don’t forget to warm up your vocals and body so they’re ready for the audition. Getting all warmed up allows you to have better control of your body during the audition, and warm-ups are also perfect to make you less nervous! - Be Friendly and Courteous
An audition starts whenever you arrive at the audition venue. The showrunners can see how you treat others, even the other auditionees. Producing a show is hard work, and the production team is looking for actors who they know can help make the process easier and smoother. This doesn’t only mean performing skills, but also a good attitude! - Find A Goal
No matter how good your audition goes, sometimes there’s just not a role that’s suitable for you, it’s nothing personal. So, don’t go to an audition with getting a role is your only goal. Find another goal – for example, to practice your acting, to get more experience in auditioning, or most important thing, to have fun making the experiences – and you’ll walk away with a personal accomplishment, regardless of the casting results.
