Since we have already held auditions in the beginning of the month, we would like to tell you a little about the play Jacob Marley Christmas Carol, which we will be performing in December.
Jacob Marley's Christmas Carol is a full-length comedy-drama play that rewrites Charles Dickens's A Christmas Carol from the perspective of Jacob Marley, Ebenezer Scrooge's former business partner.
The play offers backstory on Marley, the first spirit to visit Scrooge on Christmas Eve. There are more, if you know the story *wink*. Anyway, the spirits are Scrooge's last chance to change his ways, or he will be cursed to carry even heavier chains.
Jacob Marley's Christmas Carol has gained popularity as a holiday classic, appealing to audiences who appreciate a deeper exploration of Dickens's themes. It invites viewers to reconsider the importance of compassion and the impact of one's choices, making it a poignant addition to the Christmas canon.
Jacob Marley’s Christmas Carol is run at approximately 1 hour 45 minutes.
